Gwen Conner, Business Accelerator Director, Providence Health and Services

At Providence Health & Services in Oregon, Gwen leads the organization’s first business accelerator, providing funding, connections, and mentorship to clinical teams as they trial new care approaches, integrate early stage technologies, and develop new external relationships. In 2015, Gwen launched the Kitty Powell Innovation Fellowship program to build caregivers’ skills and confidence moving projects forward and working through an ambiguous challenge. Nearly 60 alumni from this intrapreneurship network now direct teams to identify the latent unmet needs in the community, ignite solutions, and share ingenuity, knowledge and skills. This program was profiled at the 2016 Mayo Clinic Transform Conference.
